An Outside Perspective on the U.S. Presidential Election: November 5 2008

This was written on November 5, 2008, just after the U.S. Presidential Election:

Hope everyone is basking in the glory of our new President, we certainly are here, along with the rest of New Zealand and probably the rest of the world (although homophobic Californian voters get a thumbs down, as in the ancient Roman throw-them-to-the-lions-in-the-Colosseum thumbs down)!!

Anyway, here is a great article looking at the world's perspective on the U.S. election. It's been interesting living here during such an important election, you really see how the rest of the world wearily looks to us a the most powerful country in the world....even when they make fun of our rednecks and religious conservatives! Unfortunately these are the types of people they tend to interview on the radio so no wonder why they think Americans are uneducated bible-thumping hicks who don't care for the environment. Awesome.
